About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading waste management company for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to help maintain public spaces in Bruntwood Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in outdoor work and enjoys keeping environments clean, safe, and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a John Deere 1580 ride-on mower (or similar equipment) to maintain grass verges and open spaces
- Carry out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure all machinery is used safely and in line with company procedures
- Follow scheduled mowing plans and complete work to a high standard
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas
Requirements
- Full, valid driving licence (minimum B1)
- Proven experience operating ride-on mowers (golf course or similar environments preferred, e.g. triple mowers)
- Good local knowledge of Stockport and surrounding areas is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
