VTA Recruitment are working on behalf of a locally managed service provider in recruiting a driver to join their Commercial Grounds Team. Our client is a market-leading waste management company. Working with a second driver, you will be maintaining the cleanliness of public areas within the wider community across the Borough of Stockport.
Responsibilities:
- Emptying communal bins
- Strimming
- Hedges, Cutting Grass, Gardening
- Collecting litter across public areas
- Tending to areas prone to fly tipping, collecting the waste and returning this to site for disposal.
- Keeping the Parks and Gardens kept to a high standard
- General hygiene maintenance.
- Maintaining a professional attitude representing the company whilst working away from site.
- Driving a 3.5T tipper (experience of using a trailer is desirable)
Please note: This job description is not all-inclusive; the employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by management depending on the needs of the client.
Hours: Monday to Friday (temp to perm) £13.86 p/h
Hours of work (winter): Mon to Fri, 7.30am to 3.12pm, 36 hrs a week
Hours of work (summer): Mon to Fri, 7.15am to 4.21pm, 43 hrs a week
Requirements:
- Must be able to work well within a team and have strong communication skills.
- Must be comfortable with working outside in adverse weather conditions.
- Experience of using grounds equipment is preferable, strimmers, hand mowers, hedge cutters etc.
- C1 Licence is desirable
Licence requirements:
- Must have a BE Driving Licence (Standard Car Licence with Towing)
- No more than 6 points.
- You will need a Tachocard or be prepared to apply for one.
