Class 2 HGV Drivers – Dukinfield

VTA Recruitment is currently looking for 2 x Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy delivery operation based in Dukinfield.

This is a Monday to Friday role with early starts, carrying out nationwide kitchen deliveries. The position will involve both driving and manual handling, so applicants must be comfortable with a physical role that includes loading and unloading the vehicle.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Start time: Between 05:00 and 06:00
Location: Dukinfield

Duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle on nationwide delivery routes
• Delivering kitchens to customer and site locations
• Loading and unloading goods from the vehicle
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensuring goods are transported safely and securely
• Providing a professional service at delivery points
• Working in line with drivers’ hours, tachograph and health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Valid Category C / Class 2 licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
• Comfortable with manual handling and a physically demanding role
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication skills
• Previous Class 2 delivery experience preferred

This would suit a dependable Class 2 driver looking for Monday to Friday work with consistent early starts and no weekend shifts.
