About the Role

Join our Finance team as a Sales Ledger Clerk, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of client invoicing and account administration. We're looking for someone with strong Excel skills, accounting software experience, and a proactive, customer‑focused approach to delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Exporting client billing schedules from Production Management System to Finance Systems
• Processing and sending out client invoices
• Working with Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders to avoid unnecessary delays to invoicing
• Responding to client queries and working with the operations team to resolve them
• Performing credit checks for new and lapsed clients
• Registering and setting up new client portals
• Assisting with credit control and escalating overdue invoices
• Creating new customers on the finance system and providing ID to the relevant teams
• Proactively monitoring the shared accounts mailbox and organising emails into the appropriate folders
• Providing ad‑hoc support to Accounts Payable and Finance Manager as required

Essential Skills and Experience

• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or similar role
• Accounting software knowledge
• Enthusiastic and pro‑active with good initiative.
• Excellent communication skills both with internal and external customers
