As a Part 145 EASA/FAA and TCCA Approved Workshop facility, Rotable Repairs provides quality repair and overhaul services for most classic and current generation jet & turbo prop aircrafts trusted by airlines and aerospace organisations all over the world.
JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Assistant I will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Manager in all areas of the day-to-day accounting function and will ensure that the accounts are maintained up to date and that accounting records are complete and accurate. Experience is essential for this role as is the ability to organise your own time and integrate within the team. The candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role and be AAT qualified/ACCA part qualified. Good IT skills and experience with dual currency is essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of bookkeeping records from the source documents supplied.
- Purchasing ledger – processing and input of invoices/credit notes and resolving invoice queries.
- Sales ledger – processing of invoices and sending statements.
- Credit control – including contacting the customer by telephone and email.
- Processing BACS and international payments online.
- Dealing with all aspects of digital VAT.
- Monthly reconciliations.
- Banking and bank reconciliation of GBP, USD & EUR accounts.
- Dealing with foreign currency payments and receipts.
- Posting invoices, receipts, and processing payments.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Other duties – general bookkeeping duties, other office duties.
- Provide reports and information as requested by the Accounts Manager.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- NVQ Level 1, Vocational Qualification Level 1, GCSE grade D-G, ESOL Skills for Life, Functional Skills Level 1 English, Maths & ICT.
- GCSE English and Math’s grade C or above.
- Accounting Experience - 1 year.
- Credit Control Experience - 1 Year.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Part Qualified / Qualified to AAT level.
- Quantum experience.
- Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Aeronautical/MRO experience.
