An exciting opportunity has arisen in Linn Moor Campus to carry out housekeeping and related tasks to identified standards so as to contribute towards the delivery of a quality service designed to meet the needs of the service users with the Campus. The post will be term time only (38 weeks), Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 1.30pm (negotiable).
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general housekeeping tasks in the assigned groups as directed to agreed work schedules and agreed standards.
- Maintaining preparation and cooking areas, utensils and equipment in a clean condition which satisfies health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Operating machinery and equipment according to instructions, with particular attention to safety rules.
- Using cleaning agents properly according to instructions.
- Carrying out any other duties which may be required from time to time provided the tasks are both reasonable and within the post-holder's capabilities.
Qualifications/Training/Education:
- Essential: Willingness and ability to undertake additional training as appropriate to the role.
- Desirable: Infection control training, Manual handling training.
Key Skills/Aptitudes:
- Essential: Ability to communicate with others.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative meeting demands of cleaning schedules.
- Ability to respond to changing needs as directed by line manager.
Other Job Requirements:
- Ability to work in an environment with service users who demonstrate challenging behaviour and able to respond effectively to challenging behaviour and use and train in Behaviour Support Strategies (BSS).
