With significant changes happening in the social care sector over the next few years we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join and support our teams. Our Care@Home Service is currently recruiting a Part-time (25 hours per week) , Administration Assistant based at our Broomhill Activity Centre Office , working across 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will be responsible for providing broad based clerical and administrative support to the service, supporting management in service delivery. You will join an enthusiastic staff team and will possess the ability to multi-task and work to high standards. Hours: 25 hours per week (8.30am -2pm) Rota: 5 days (Monday to Friday) Rate: £12.60 per hour Location: Broomhill Activity Centre, Aberdeen We offer our Staff fantastic benefits including: Company pension Generous annual leave Refer a friend programme-Receive £225 when you introduce a family member or friend to VSA Investment in your personal development and career through our learning and development programmes Main Duties/Responsibilities: Word processing material of a wide and varied nature, e.g. typing reports. Setting up tracking systems to ensure that information recording and support systems operate accurately and efficiently. Ensuring that information recording systems, including manual and electronic files and Excel spreadsheets are accurately maintained and updated. Recording and processing expenses and petty cash documentation. Photocopying, collating and distributing material as required; assisting staff when necessary in the efficient use of the photocopier. Collating information for reporting purposes and supporting to produce and distribute service newsletter Processing invoices according to agreed procedures for authorization and payment and checking on purchase order documentation. Ordering stationery, ensuring satisfactory stock levels are maintained. Carrying out telephone duties, taking calls and delivering messages accurately as and when required. Provide up to date information and advice to service users / carers in relation to applicable benefits and where necessary provide support to service users with the completion of benefit applications. Undertake any other duties which may arise provided they are within the post-holders capabilities Experience: Essential: Skilled and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office. Well developed word processing/typing skills. Experience of working in care or within a care setting Desirable:0 Auditing skills Key Skills/Aptitudes: Essential: Accuracy and attention to detail Good interpersonal skills. Good organisational ability.
