Fantastic opportunity for both an Experienced Scientific Test & Installation Engineer or Jnr Physicist/Chemist/Engineer! We have an exciting opportunity for experienced (or would be) test and installation engineers. Focusing on surface analysis instrumentation, you will perform a range of tests including electronic, software/hardware and run calibration standards. Your goal is to remedy any instrument glitches through extensive electronics and software testing prior to shipment. You will then visit global customer sites; installing the instrumentation on a worldwide basis and provide post installation servicing/support where required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A formal qualification in a related scientific discipline (Physics, Chemistry etc) or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic)
- Experience with troubleshooting & fault-finding
- Knowledge of complex scientific instrumentation & associated sub-systems such as vacuum technology would also be beneficial.
Excellent communication and team skills are essential. This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology in a customer-facing environment. You must be willing to spend ca. 20-30% of your time travelling globally.
