Our client is a global leader in scientific technology, providing chromatography and mass spectrometry solutions to customers across the Scientific sector. As part of their continued growth, we’re seeking an ambitious and commercially astute account manager / business development specialist to drive the sales of their analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV/Vis, FT-IR, TOC, Elemental Analysis), consumables and software across an array of laboratories and industries. This role suits a salesperson who is driven, and naturally comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders. You should enjoy asking questions, understanding challenges, and recommending meaningful solutions, take pride in your work and value relationships built on trust, not just transactions.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in relevant Scientific discipline
  • Proven Scientific instrument sales experience, ideally with strong technical experience of relevant techniques (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, Spectroscopy, preferred)
  • Account management experience and the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with senior technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Experience working towards and achieving targets
  • UK Drivers Licence and the willingness to travel up to 80% of your time
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
