A world leader in analytical instrumentation is seeking an accomplished, ambitious and commercially astute account manager/business development specialist or an experienced Analytical Chemist looking to transition into a commercial sales role. Acting as the region’s Business Specialist, this role will predominantly involve the sale of a range of chromatography systems; HPLC/UHPLC, GC and mass spectrometry instruments and the associated detectors (UV, DAD, ECD, FID etc) into a variety of industries.
Conducting the entire sales process, identifying leads, account managing current prospects, providing quotes and closing sales. The successful candidate will have previous sales experience and a good understanding of analytical chromatography. Knowledge of HPLC is a must due to the technical nature of the sales process. Expertise or experience with mass spectrometry would also be highly advantageous but not essential.
This role would suit anyone currently selling any related scientific products – either office or field based. Alternatively, candidates with a strong hands-on analytical lab background (LC, GC, LC/MS, GCMS) wanting to move into scientific sales are also encouraged to apply; explaining their interest in sales and reasons for a career change.
In addition, you will also attend high profile industry conferences and travel internationally when required. This is a home-based role, with expectation of traveling to local customer sites 3-4 days per week, a company car, phone and laptop are all provided.
