A rare opportunity to join the Product Stewardship team of a growing chemical distribution business. Your role will be to provide regulatory and compliance support on a range of chemical raw materials with a focus on provision of expertise to the personal care / cosmetics market. This will be a varied role supporting a wide portfolio of chemical raw materials / ingredients with a focus on supporting the personal care / cosmetic market. This will entail ensuring the raw materials are compliant under chemical regulations (CLP and REACH) but also their compliance for use in personal care and cosmetic products.
Responsibilities
- Support regulatory and compliance activities for chemical raw materials with a focus on the personal care / cosmetics market.
- Ensure raw materials are compliant under CLP and REACH, and for use in personal care and cosmetic products.
- Set up new raw materials and suppliers; perform compliance checks; prepare SDSs and labels; verify classifications.
- Provide guidance to customers on ingredient/raw material compliance; complete new material and customer questionnaires; conduct research on regulatory developments relevant to the personal care/cosmetic market.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with chemical regulatory compliance, including SDS authoring, hazard communication, classifications, and labeling.
- Knowledge or experience with personal care / cosmetic products and insight into compliance of raw materials for these end products.
