Our client is a global manufacturer of specialist scientific instrumentation, helping laboratories around the world enable advancements in many areas such as pharmaceutical, food, environmental and healthcare. To ensure the efficiency of their operations, they are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Field Service engineer to join their team in Northern Ireland. As a Field Service Engineer, your key responsibilities will include: * Servicing, installing and repairing Scientific instrumentation onsite, specialising in the company’s Chromatography and Spectroscopy product range (HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV/Vis, instrumentation) * Covering a local territory of Cork with occasional travel further afield in Ireland * Diagnosing faults on complex scientific equipment ensuring prompt, flexible and customer focused support * Managing equipment parts and spare parts To be considered for this role, you will have: * HND in engineering or equivalent qualification * Previous experience servicing complex scientific instrumentation (Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Automation, etc) from a range of instrument vendors * Knowledge of GMP * Full driving license and willingness to travel up to 80% of your time * Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team Applications are also invited from candidates from a lab background looking to transition into an instrument focussed role!
