A leading biopharmaceutical company is looking for a motivated and collaborative Senior Scientist to join its Preclinical Research team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in advancing translational in vitro models, including organoids, organ-on-chip systems, and cutting-edge microphysiological platforms.

You’ll contribute across a diverse pipeline of discovery and development programmes, helping to accelerate therapeutic candidates through preclinical evaluation. Experience in building disease-relevant in vitro models, particularly within autoimmune or inflammatory disease areas, would be highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and optimise organoid-based disease models aligned to immunology and inflammation research e.g. liver, lung, gut
  • Develop and execute in vitro assays using advanced single‑and‑multi‑organ‑on‑chip platforms
  • Perform and interpret a range of analytical techniques, including FACS, MSD, ELISA and qPCR
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges across assay development and model systems
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality data to project timelines
  • Prepare protocols, SOPs and technical documentation in line with internal standards
  • Contribute to scientific reports and internal communications
  • Present data clearly and effectively in team and project meetings

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant PhD plus at least 2 years’ experience in organoid culture and organ‑on‑chip model development
  • Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience with FACS, MSD, ELISA and qPCR assays
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex in‑vitro systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts clearly
