Our client is an established Scientific Equipment Manufacturer, providing best-in-class analytical instruments to scientific organisations across the globe. To support their continued growth, we’re hiring for a Technical Sales Specialist, who will be responsible for the growth in sales of LC-MS systems to clients across Scotland. As LC-MS Sales Specialist, you will manage the full sales life cycle, advising existing and new customers on a range of LC-MS (Q, QQQ, MALDI-TOF & HRMS) instrumentation working with research laboratories, CRO’s and academia. This will include:
- Initial contact to understand client requirements and analytical challenges/goals
- Technical discussions and advising of best products/solutions
- Input into the instrument demonstration process
- Negotiating sale and project completion
You will provide a crucial interface between in-house teams and customers, ensuring the business responds to customer requirements and continues to offer the highest quality services and products to the market. You will attend and support events and conferences and remain abreast of competitor products and applications. Enthusiastic and motivated scientists with expert knowledge of LC-MS are encouraged to apply!
To be considered for this role you will need:
- BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemistry or related subject
- UK Driving License and the ability to travel across Scotland up to 80% of your time
- Previous Scientific Sales experience is preferred
- Practical knowledge/ equivalent experience of high-res LC-MS (Orbitrap, MALDI, QTOF, QQQ)
- Hunter mindset and the ability to win new business
- Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills
- Resilience and problem-solving skills
