If you are seeking a role that will challenge and expand your analytical chemistry knowledge, as well as an enviable life by the sea, then this is the ideal role for you! You will be joining a company that has a reputation in the field for tackling highly complex analytical studies that require extensive industry expertise to solve.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing and applying analytical methods for ecotoxicological, e-fate, physchem and residue studies; detecting, quantifying and characterizing small molecular species in complex matrices. You will have access to the latest mass spec technologies including QQQs and QTOFs.
In collaboration with colleagues, you will be responsible for every part of the analytical method plan, from sample preparation to final report.
In addition to your day-to-day laboratory work you will also be expected to research the latest technologies and practices with a view to implementing these in the workplace and evolving the company’s working practices and services.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Experience
- BSc/MChem/PhD in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or related subject
- Knowledge of LC-MS method development, specifically using LC-MS for quantitation or structural characterisation studies to analyse complex matrices
Candidates with an understanding of industry regulations such as GLP, GMP or ISO and knowledge of Sciex and/or ThermoFisher mass spec technology will be at a distinct advantage.
Interviews will be conducted in a 2-stage process: virtual and onsite.
