An opportunity for a Socio-Economic Analysis (SEA) expert to join a specialist consultancy and work on chemical industry projects that evaluate chemical regulatory trade-offs between the benefits of restricting chemicals and the impact on industry and the economy. This new position will take a lead role in multi-disciplinary project teams working on UK and EU REACH Authorisation and Restriction programmes. You will provide expert advice to chemical producers on Assessment of Alternatives, economic impact assessments and the impacts on human health, the environment and society.
We are looking for a professional with socio-economic analysis (SEA) experience ideally in the chemical / REACH area. Previous experience with REACH Authorisation or Restriction would be preferred along with knowledge of how to assess substitutions. This can be technically (chemically) or economically. You must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, be willing to take a lead on projects, have excellent written communication skills and be able to write clear and concise summaries of highly complex subjects.
