An excellent opportunity for an International Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator to join a successful international chemical products business. Work with a close-knit and friendly team in a fast-paced environment.
Liaise with different stakeholders including suppliers, freight forwarders, warehousing, production and customers. Play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient running of key business operations. Reporting to a highly experienced Operations Manager, main duties will include:
- Import and export of DG cargo
- Coordination of production with 3rd parties
- Labelling and packaging of shipments
- Monitoring customers’ orders and deliveries
- Accurate recording and management of the inward processing procedure
- Production of import and export clearance instructions following the company’s inward processing authorisation
- Preparing and managing weekly delivery schedules
- Monitoring and managing stock levels
- Maintaining accurate master data and inventory requirements
- Raising purchase and production orders
You will have the opportunity to both learn from experienced colleagues and to introduce new operational methods. We would like to hear from candidates with previous experience within an international import/export company in a logistics/planning role.
You must be:
- A confident communicator (verbally and in writing)
- Numerate and have good IT skills
- Have strong attention to detail
- Diligent, systematic and be capable of highly accurate record keeping
Experience in chemical production or manufacturing sectors and the handling of hazardous cargo would be advantageous but not essential.
