An opportunity for an experienced environmental risk assessment and exposure modelling specialist to join a scientific consultancy supporting chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial clients.
You will undertake environmental exposure and risk assessments under regulatory frameworks including UK/EU REACH, Biocides and human and veterinary medicines.
The Role
- Conduct environmental exposure and risk assessments
- Develop PEC/PNEC assessments and Risk Characterisation Ratios (RCRs)
- Undertake exposure modelling using tools such as EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreat
- Develop and refine exposure scenarios using ERCs, SPERCs and site-specific data
- Review environmental fate, ecotoxicity, emissions and monitoring data
- Prepare Chemical Safety Reports, Exposure Scenarios and eSDS
- Provide clear technical and regulatory advice to clients
About You
You will have experience in environmental risk assessment, exposure modelling or chemical risk assessment, ideally gained within consultancy, industry or a regulatory environment. Experience of UK/EU REACH, EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreat, PEC/PNEC assessment, environmental fate or ecotoxicology would be particularly valuable. A relevant scientific background in environmental science, chemistry, ecotoxicology, toxicology or a related discipline is preferred.
