Fantastic opportunity for both an Experienced Scientific Test & Installation Engineer or Jnr Physicist/Chemist/Engineer! We have an exciting opportunity for experienced (or would be) test and installation engineers. Focusing on surface analysis instrumentation, you will perform a range of tests including electronic, software/hardware and run calibration standards. Your goal is to remedy any instrument glitches through extensive electronics and software testing prior to shipment. You will then visit global customer sites, installing the instrumentation on a worldwide basis and provide post-installation servicing/support where required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of tests including electronic, software/hardware and run calibration standards to remedy instrument glitches prior to shipment.
- Install instrumentation at global customer sites and provide post-installation servicing and support as required.
- Travel to customer sites globally (approximately 20-30% of time).
Qualifications:
- A formal qualification in a related scientific discipline (Physics, Chemistry, etc.) or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic).
- Experience with troubleshooting and fault-finding.
- Knowledge of complex scientific instrumentation and associated sub-systems such as vacuum technology is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
