A successful pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Safety Systems & Innovation Specialist to join its Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance function.
As the successful candidate, you will support the implementation, upgrade and continuous improvement of software systems used across global pharmacovigilance operations. You will work across a range of safety systems and technology projects, coordinating with internal teams, IT and software suppliers to ensure systems and upgrades are successfully delivered.
This is a varied role requiring strong software systems knowledge, problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the opportunity to contribute to both established pharmacovigilance systems and wider technology and innovation initiatives.
The Role
- Support and enhance systems used across Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety.
- Coordinate system upgrades, releases and implementations from requirements through to successful delivery.
- Support Veeva Vault Safety and its ongoing upgrade cycles.
- Translate operational requirements into effective system solutions.
- Work with IT, software suppliers and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement changes.
- Support validation activities including URS, UAT, data integrity assessments and release documentation.
- Contribute to change controls, CAPAs, incident investigations, training and process improvements.
- Support wider systems and technology projects, including automation, system innovation and potential AI initiatives.
About You
- 5β8+ years' relevant experience within safety systems, pharmacovigilance systems or a related GxP environment.
- Experience working with validated computer systems and GxP processes.
- Strong understanding of Pharmacovigilance/Patient Safety operations.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, implementations and change controls.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to independently manage projects, priorities and stakeholders.
- Adaptable and comfortable supporting a range of systems and technology projects.
Experience with Veeva Vault Safety would be highly advantageous, although experience with Oracle Argus, ARISg or similar pharmacovigilance systems would also be highly relevant.
