A successful pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Real World Evidence (RWE) Expert to join its global team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an RWE professional to lead impactful research projects that influence healthcare decision-making, contribute to scientific understanding, and support the development of innovative medicines.

The successful candidate will play a key role in a collaborative rare disease research programme with an external academic partner, supporting the expansion of an established patient registry based on carer-provided data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, execution, and delivery of global RWE studies from concept through to publication.
  • Develop study concepts, protocols, statistical analysis plans, and project documentation.
  • Deliver studies on time and within budget while ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements.
  • Support and advise local study teams on methodology, project delivery, and operational challenges.
  • Represent RWE expertise within primary data collection studies.
  • Collaborate with academic research groups, external vendors, medical experts, statisticians, and analysts.
  • Interpret study findings and communicate results to both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience delivering real-world evidence projects using primary data.
  • Experience gained within the pharmaceutical industry, a leading consultancy, or a recognised academic centre of excellence.
  • Strong project management and ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians or key opinion leaders.
Desirable Experience
  • PhD in Epidemiology, Outcomes Research, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with patient- or carer-reported data.
  • Experience within rare diseases.

This role is offered on an initial 6 month contract with opportunity for extension.
