We’re currently supporting a leading biopharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Research Scientist to join an established Injectable Formulation Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on scientist with experience in protein/antibody characterisation and analysis to contribute to formulation development across the Biopharmaceutical development life-cycle, from early non-clinical studies through to clinical development.

The role will involve:

  • Performing laboratory experiments and analytical studies supporting non-clinical and clinical programmes
  • Supporting pre-formulation and formulation development activities
  • Characterising antibody/protein stability and degradation pathways
  • Developing and authoring protocols, reports and technical documentation
  • Analysing data and presenting findings to cross-functional teams
  • Working collaboratively across a fast-paced biopharmaceutical development environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or a related scientific discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Strong experience in protein/antibody analysis, ideally including techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology or MFI
  • Experience in formulation development and/or laboratory automation would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate experimental data
  • Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
