Product Manager – Electron Microscopy
Location: Home-based (Midlands or commutable distance to Stockport)
Salary: £40,000 – £53,000 + up to £20,000 OTE + company car/allowance + excellent benefits
We’re working with a leading supplier of high-end scientific equipment across the UK and Ireland who are looking to appoint a Product Manager for their Electron Microscopy portfolio.
This is a national role offering the chance to represent cutting-edge SEM technology, work closely with researchers and engineers across multiple sectors, and directly influence business growth.
The Role
You’ll take full responsibility for managing and growing the Electron Microscopy product line in the UK and Ireland. That includes:
- Developing and executing a clear sales plan to meet and exceed targets
- Building strong relationships with key academic, industrial and research customers
- Carrying out product demonstrations and supporting events such as workshops and roadshows
- Providing technical expertise and insight to customers and internal teams
- Liaising closely with international suppliers to share market feedback and opportunities
You’ll report directly to the Sales Director and collaborate closely with technical and marketing colleagues. The role involves regular UK travel and occasional overseas training with manufacturers.
About You
You’ll bring a strong mix of technical know-how and commercial curiosity, ideally with:
- A degree (or higher) in Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline
- Previous sales or product management experience within microscopy or scientific instrumentation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A confident, proactive approach with the ability to work independently
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
