We’re currently partnering with a successful pharmaceutical company looking to recruit a Senior or Principal Scientist specialising in Transcriptomics. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the interface of pharmaceutical research and early clinical development, supporting innovative drug development programmes including antibodies & gene therapies. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative Biomarker Assay Sciences team, contributing across the drug discovery pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the design and execution of transcriptomics (RNA-seq) and high-plex proteomics assays
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, working cross-functionally and with external CRO partners
  • Contributing to data analysis, interpretation, and presentation to project teams
  • Supporting both non-clinical and clinical studies with high-quality data delivery

Candidate profile

  • MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline
  • Strong experience in transcriptomics and/or RNA sequencing workflows
  • Exposure to single-cell RNA‑seq and/or spatial omics
  • Background in molecular biology with 5+ years’ experience (industry or academia)
  • Experience with qPCR/ddPCR, proteomics, or bioinformatics
  • Someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment

This role is offered on a 12‑month contract with potential for extension.
