We're recruiting on behalf of an established, market-leading manufacturer of scientific instrumentation that supplies customers across the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and materials industries worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys international travel, building long-term customer relationships and working with innovative analytical equipment. You’ll work closely with an international distributor network while also supporting direct customers across a number of global territories. The role combines technical sales, customer support and application expertise, with regular overseas travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support international distributors and direct customers.
- Travel internationally to provide customer visits, installations and training.
- Deliver technical product demonstrations and presentations.
- Attend international exhibitions and trade shows.
- Organise and deliver customer training courses.
- Support the development of new applications and testing methods.
- Provide technical and application support throughout the sales process.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within international markets.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree (BSc or above) in Food Science, Materials Science or a related scientific discipline and/or knowledge of materials testing or texture analysis (highly desirable).
- Experience selling scientific or analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with international customers or distributor networks.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for developing business.
- Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential.
