A world-leading specialty measurement company is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join its growing Thermal Rheology team based in Wilmslow. The Role
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide advanced technical support for Thermal Rheology instrumentation across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Acting as a key technical expert, you will support both customers and field service teams with troubleshooting, training and product expertise. This is a varied role combining remote technical support, customer interaction, training delivery and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical diagnosis and troubleshooting support to customers and Field Service Representatives via phone and email
- Travel across the UK and internationally to deliver technical support and training
- Deliver both basic and advanced service training to Field Service teams
- Prepare and maintain technical training documentation and service materials
- Identify and report design, reliability and maintenance issues
- Work closely with Engineering, Software and Manufacturing teams to resolve product quality concerns
- Gather and communicate customer and product feedback to management
- Create and distribute Service Reference Documents to global teams
- Occasional travel (approx. 10% to manufacturing site in the US and customers/field service engineering teams in EMEA)
Candidate Profile
- Knowledge of thermal analysis e.g. TGA, DSC, TMA, DMA and/or Rheology instrumentation
- Advanced instrument troubleshooting & repair skills gained through field service or onsite engineering positions
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
