The Role
Due to growth, we are looking to recruit a Yard Operative to work at one of our clients in Grimsby. You will be required to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. The rate of pay is Β£13.30 per hour. Within this role, you will be working as a part of Yard Operations Team, assisting with the daily operations of a busy site through driving and parking various types of vehicles around the yard. You will be reporting to the Yard Team Leader and Supervisor. The yard and halls activities will be predominantly undertaken outdoors, this means that you will spend a significant proportion of their time exposed to all weather conditions throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Store and park all vehicles on site within the fleet yard, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the site in accordance with the daily program
- Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys
- Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicle
- Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed (training provided)
- Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
- Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met within the agreed deadlines.
Skills And Expertise
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential) β you need to be comfortable to drive manual and automatic cars
