Manpower are currently recruiting Van Delivery Drivers on behalf of our client based in Willenhall. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, environmentally focused company, working from brand-new facilities with modern equipment, and offering long-term potential for the right candidate.
As a Van Delivery Driver, you will be the face of the business, delivering cooking oil to the catering and restaurant trade and collecting used oil for return to the Microsite. Building positive relationships with customers is a key part of the role, along with representing the company in a professional and friendly manner. Please note: This role does involve regular heavy lifting, including loading and unloading oil containers. Applicants must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out pre-trip vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety
- Driving safely and efficiently in line with UK road laws and company procedures
- Loading and unloading fresh and used cooking oil (heavy lifting involved)
- Delivering to catering and restaurant customers and collecting used oil
- Taking payments where required and maintaining accurate cash/pre-paid card records
- Completing documentation including Waste Transfer Notes
- Communicating with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries and issues
- Reporting missed or failed deliveries to the Microsite Manager
- Building strong customer relationships and supporting sales activity where required
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean - no more than 6 points)
- Minimum 6 months UK van driving experience
- Own vehicle to commute to site
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Strong awareness of health & safety regulations
- Ability to handle physical work and heavy lifting
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work varying hours if required
- Sales or B2B experience is desirable but not essential
- £15.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
