We are currently seeking interim Performance & Claims Laboratory Technicians to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at our client\’s scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £27,445 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
Within this role you will work to support Laundry Liquid & Capsule projects, specifically supporting the Performance, Claims and KBS team. You will work closely with internal team members and execute laboratory experiments for product assessment, claim support and demo development purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-washing of various fabrics for performance and sensory testing
- Washing of fabrics for performance and sensory testing including the preparation for testing
- Organisation of fabrics for testing
- Planning and organising fabrics stocks to meet testing requirements
- Working on demo development and validation
- Helping the internal/external teams for demo video shooting
- Attending appropriate team meetings
Key Requirements
- Good organisation and time-management
- Excellent communication and bias for action
- Ability to use digital tools like MS Excel, Power Point to report the outcome of an experiment in a clear concise way
- Ability to work with in multi-functional teams both internal and external
- Experience of FMCG or the detergents sector desirable
- Textile testing/Washing machine testing experience beneficial
