Manufacturing Operator – Swing Shift

Location: Cheltenham

Duration: 12 months (temp to perm opportunity)

Rate: £15.20 (Early Shift) £18.55 (Late Shift) (PAYE – 26 days annual leave + bank holidays)

Shift Pattern

Earlies: Mon – Thurs 6am – 3:30pm Fri: 6am – 1pm

Lates: Mon – Thurs 1:15pm – 9:15pm Fri: 12:45pm – 5:45pm

This role is for skilled operators working within a variety of roles focused on the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft parts for civil and military programmes. The role will include a range of tasks and the successful applicant should demonstrate flexibility and work effectively as part of a larger multi‑disciplined team.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Read and follow manufacturing plans, ensure quality and health & safety adherence.
  • Follow daily manufacturing metrics.
  • Participate in lean activities and other initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing delivery needs.
  • Work in teams to achieve delivery targets.
  • Complete manufacturing paperwork and job cards.

Essential Experience

  • General electronics and mechanical assembly work.
  • Ability to recognise and identify components.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and instructions.
  • Good concentration and attention to detail.
  • Able to produce work of high quality.
  • Dexterous and able to work on small products.
  • A flexible and co‑operative approach.
  • Appreciation of health and safety practice in the workplace.
  • Experience of self‑directed work teams and teaming.
  • Awareness of customer expectations and business requirements.
  • Communication and time keeping skills.
