Manpower is currently recruiting for Machine Operatives for our client based in Belper.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of sealants with over 100 years of establishment. They are currently based in Belper but plan to relocate to Kirkby in Ashfield, so candidates should be able to commute to both locations.
Please note that the environment can be very dusty.
Applicants will need to read instructions and measure ingredients, requiring a good level of maths, reading, and writing skills. This role is not production line work; our client prefers candidates with a manufacturing background, experience operating machines, and following instructions.
Some heavy lifting and manual handling will be involved.
This position is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent, offering a great opportunity to join a reputable company.
The starting pay is £12.21 per hour, with a pay rise upon permanent employment.
We are looking for 2 operatives:
- Shift 1: 05:30 – 15:30, Monday – Thursday
- Shift 2: 06:30 – 16:30, Monday – Thursday
Total hours per week: 37.5.
Breaks include a 30-minute unpaid break and two 15-minute paid breaks per shift.
Candidates will be required to attend a site walk-round before starting.
