Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic looking for a stable, full-time role with a forward-thinking employer in North Oxford? Join a dedicated team maintaining a specialist fleet of coaches and light commercial vans used across the entertainment and production industries.
You will be part of a skilled team of five full-time mechanics working in purpose-built workshops in Oxfordshire. Your primary focus will be maintaining and repairing sleeper coaches, with occasional support for our LCV fleet.
Responsibilities:- Conduct vehicle servicing in line with internal policies
- Perform Periodic Maintenance Inspections to DVSA standards
- Prepare and present vehicles for MOT
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, including warranty documentation
- Maintain accurate service records and workshop tidiness
- Attend roadside breakdowns and perform road tests
- Follow Health & Safety protocols and safe working practices
- Level 3 NVQ in HGV or PSV maintenance, repair & diagnostics (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with mechanical and electrical systems
- Welding experience desirable
- PSV licence a bonus (not essential)
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive with a 'can-do' attitude
- Full-time role: 40-45 paid hours/week (excluding breaks)
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Competitive pay based on experience and hours - £41 - £51k
