Are you a skilled leader in construction management with a passion for preserving and improving our waterways? We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead essential maintenance and repair projects on the rivers and canals of South Yorkshire, enhancing their safety, efficiency, and environmental value. In this role, you will manage 4 Supervisors and their teams, ensuring successful delivery of key projects including lock gate replacements and canal bank maintenance. You'll also work closely with external contractors to drive high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the upgrade and maintenance of canals and rivers, including lock gate replacements and canal bank repairs.
- Write and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and Construction Phase Plans.
- Collaborate with external contractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Manage a team of around 24 staff to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Hybrid working)
Contract Duration: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
