This onsite role at the Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham involves supporting the manufacturing of world‑leading diagnostic products. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will be part of a dedicated operations team, ensuring product quality, equipment readiness, and smooth workflow execution.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work independently using a daily/weekly plan.
- Manage materials and inventory needed for production.
- Carry out scheduled tasks on equipment or assigned areas.
- Perform basic data checks and process checks.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proactive person who completes work accurately the first time.
- Someone who can troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements.
- Good at organising work, meeting deadlines, and following SOPs.
- Comfortable using computers, especially Excel.
Required Experience & Education:
- GCSE level (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of lab experience, OR a relevant scientific degree.
- Previous lab experience is essential.
- Experience planning or managing workload is an advantage.
Work Environment:
- Laboratory‑based role with PPE provided.
- Handling chemicals and lifting up to 20 kg may be required.
- Occasional short‑notice overtime, including weekends.
