Credit Controller required for a client based at Bournemouth Airport Business Park. The company is currently in growth and is looking to recruit an experienced person to support this finance function.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will have responsibility for all payments coming into the business. This includes billing, cash collection, and administration of the sales ledger. You will need to have credit control experience and enjoy customer interaction; having a strong customer service ethic is essential, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure, particularly around month-end, is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing debts of creditors
  • Ensuring timely payments are made
  • Processing incoming funds
  • Monitoring customers in line with credit terms
  • Contact customers regarding due and overdue invoices
  • Resolving queries to ensure prompt payment
  • Allocating payments to the correct accounts
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Assist the Financial Controller in implementing processes and changes to maintain a quality financial control environment

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Credit Control
  • Attention to detail
  • Great communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Self-motivated, confident, team-oriented, and friendly
  • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience of Xero would be an advantage
