About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to oversee day to day stock control within our warehouse operations. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver 100% Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA), enforce strict FIFO methodology to minimise waste and prevent out-of-date exposure, and maintain sustainable stock control standards across the business. You will be the go to person for weekly warehouse counts, leading investigations into stock discrepancies, identifying root causes of stock loss/gain, and implementing corrective actions. This role requires resilience, strong analytical ability, and the confidence to challenge process gaps while bringing teams together to improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Control & Accuracy
- Oversee day to day warehouse stock control
- Deliver 100% Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA)
- Enforce strict FIFO processes to minimise waste
- Lead weekly cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
- Produce weekly warehouse stock loss/gain reports with corrective actions
- Implement structured investigation reporting standards
- Process Improvement & Governance
- Introduce and maintain best practice warehouse counting processes
- Develop and maintain training documentation for stock control procedures
- Challenge inefficiencies and drive operational improvements
- Introduce best practices for stored digital documentation
- Attend daily bonded management FLOW meetings, focusing on losses and corrective actions
