This isnβt your normal run of the mill Telematics Engineer role, in fact my client is looking for a Telematics Installations Expert who will be responsible for the installation and technical support of telematics trackers across a huge range of vehicles and equipment in the UK and occasionally overseas.
The successful Telematics Installations Expert will need to be hands-on with installing the telematics as well as training local personnel, and providing technical guidance to ensure seamless and qualitative telematics integration. Additionally, the Telematics Installations Expert will help support other projects, workshops, and data/documentation initiatives as required.
Telematics Installations Expert package and responsibilities- Salary = extremely flexible

- Perform hands-on installation of telematics trackers on various types of equipment.
- Support installation projects at different entities worldwide.
- Assist OEMs with integration of telematics solutions at the factory level.
- Train local personnel on telematics installation and ensure independence in performing installations.
- Support the creation of training materials, guides, and checklists for consistent installation practices.
- Support entities in resolving telematics-related technical issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide timely solutions for telematics hardware and integration problems.
- Travel to different entities and OEM sites to support installations or integrations.
- Work closely with internal teams to align telematics deployment with operational and technical requirements.
