We’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an established and growing business specialising in commercial vehicle safety systems and fleet technology.

Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to develop new business across the North West.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual who enjoys opening doors, identifying opportunities and delivering tailored solutions to customers.

With an attractive earning potential of over £75,000 OTE and uncapped commission, this role offers the chance to make a real impact while being rewarded for your success.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of your regional territory, driving new business opportunities and developing lasting relationships with commercial fleet operators and key industry decision-makers.

You’ll take a consultative approach to sales, understanding customer requirements and presenting solutions that improve fleet safety, compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Proactively identifying, targeting and winning new business across the North West.
  • Building relationships with Fleet Managers, Transport Managers, commercial vehicle dealerships and other key decision-makers.
  • Generating leads, developing opportunities and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to negotiation and order.
  • Understanding customer challenges and recommending tailored products and solutions.
  • Developing existing accounts alongside new customer acquisition.
  • Managing your sales pipeline, maintaining accurate CRM records and providing realistic sales forecasts.
  • Working collaboratively with internal sales, technical, engineering and operational teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with regional market opportunities and representing the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

About You

We’re looking for a genuine business developer who is motivated by winning new business, building strong relationships and achieving commercial results.

You’ll be confident prospecting for new opportunities, engaging with decision-makers and managing your own territory effectively.

Ideally, you’ll have

  • A proven track record in B2B business development, field sales or solution-based selling.
  • Experience identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • A consultative sales approach, with the ability to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong pipeline management, CRM and forecasting skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the North West.

Experience within HGV, commercial vehicles, fleet, transport, logistics, automotive or vehicle technology would be advantageous.

Knowledge of fleet safety systems would also be beneficial, although product and technical training will be provided.
