My client is seeking a Telematics Engineer to join their in-house team at Heathrow Airport, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of the telematics systems across a varied equipment base.
The Telematics Engineer role will involve taking ownership of telematics installations, diagnosing and resolving issues, and ensuring reliability of systems on-site.
Telematics Engineer package and responsibilities:
- £41,000 base salary
- Healthcare and other corporate benefits
- Carry out installation of telematics units across a varied fleet of equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair telematics systems on a technician level.
- Respond to on-site issues, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable functionality.
- Work in compliance with company safety standards and airport regulations.
- Proven experience in electronics, electrical engineering, or related technical role.
- Strong understanding of telematics, GPS, or automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
