This Stores Person role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and recording the traceability of all raw materials, fluids, equipment, spares, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), consumables, and client-supplied products on the site. The ideal Stores Person applicant should have experience working in a busy Parts Department.
Stores Person responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items.
- Issue materials to the Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly.
- Purchase all critical parts from suppliers as and when required.
- Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations.
- Ensure parts are correctly added into SAP.
- Generate daily report showing the due dates of all critical parts orders.
- Check and receive deliveries to site using IT system.
- Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against inventory as directed.
- Ensure stock items have correct identification labels attached.
- Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items.
