6 month FTC Full time - 40 hours Monday to Friday. The Deputy Media Project Manager will report to the Media Project Manager and is responsible for assisting with the planning, scheduling and coordination of all media associated with learning development including static graphics development (illustration, 2D, 3D, photo editing), animation development, photography, video production and editing, audio production and editing, and desktop publishing/print layout and design.
The role is focused on supporting the Media Manager to ensure delivery within budgets and schedules, coordination of talent, customer relationship, and participation in project discussions and presentations for training activities for VPS EMEA.
- Managing, alongside the Media Manager, a diverse media team with Desktop Publishers, video personnel, Graphic Artists, 3D specialists and Programmers.
- Consulting with internal and external customers on media requirements and providing feedback and suggestions related to best practices and creative solutions.
- Overseeing and coordinating the operational aspects of media solutions to include design and development projects and serving as a liaison between project management, planning, project team(s), and line management.
- Monitoring project progress, interventions and problem solving with the team.
- Supporting the Media Manager to provide instructional development teams with cost and schedule estimates across various media formats based on evaluation of creative solutions, project scope, metrics and resources.
- Providing support in ensuring that media effort is reported accurately within timesheets, understanding the importance that this has on the wider business.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Conducting clear, concise and accurate communication with all levels of the development team to include project managers, instructional designers, media developers, external talent, and customers.
- Deputising for the Media Manager as required.
Demonstrated basic work-package or project management experience in a non-IT environment with advanced levels of proficiency in the following:
- Strong background designing learning solutions and leading development activities across a variety of media modalities including eLearning, VCT, ILT, Micro-learning and video.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, to include Project.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal business communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Analysing reports to provide actionable business intelligence.
- Prioritising and managing work assignments in order to meet project deadlines with attention to detail.
- Identifying potential issues and presenting solutions to mitigate risk.
- Experience in the training/learning industry.
- Working knowledge and understanding of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training).
- Experience with the instructional design process.
- Project Management.
- Media design reviews and associated quality processes.
- Consolidated experience of modelling for simulation and animation scenes/scenarios.
- Consolidated experience of Unity based gaming, building low poly models, textures and renders.
- Proven experience in the delivery of eLearning Media projects.
- Experience in Instructional Design or Media Development.
- Eligible for or holder of current SC security clearance (the company will sponsor as required).
