The Opportunity

Corex UK, part of the VPK Group, is looking for an experienced and proactive, hands-on Health & Safety Manager to lead health, safety and wellbeing across our three UK manufacturing sites. This is a highly visible role with the autonomy to shape and continuously improve our Health & Safety systems, standards and culture. Working closely with operational teams, you will drive compliance, influence behaviours and ensure Health & Safety remains at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve Health & Safety Management Systems across all sites.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with UK legislation and company standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and performance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and significant near misses, identifying root causes and preventative actions.
  • Analyse Health & Safety data and trends to implement targeted improvements.
  • Develop and deliver engaging Health & Safety training programmes.
  • Own and deliver the divisional Health & Safety action plan.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve standards and accountability.
  • Provide expert guidance on machine safety, LOTOTO, fire safety, manual handling, noise and risk assessments.

About You

You will be an experienced Health & Safety professional from a manufacturing or engineering environment with strong knowledge of machine safety and Health & Safety management systems.

  • NEBOSH Certificate (Level 3 minimum)
  • NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 6 (preferred)
  • IOSH Technical Member or working towards
  • Proven manufacturing or engineering Health & Safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience delivering training and coaching teams
