Covering Cheshire & North Wales, our new Area Manager will be responsible for new Business Development as well as managing our key customer accounts. You will be instrumental in growing the Groundforce portfolio across this region. This unique position requires you to provide a balanced and multifaceted approach to driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will play a crucial role in generating leads, nurturing relationships and driving sales growth through self-driven pro‑active activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads by proactively identifying and reaching out to potential customers, including selected existing customers, through telesales and other outreach strategies.
  • Build, nurture and develop relationships with clients to understand their equipment needs.
  • Effectively promote our products and services creating sales opportunities and contributing to the overall success of the business.
  • Maximise revenue and profit by developing and managing a portfolio of accounts, projects, and prospects.
  • Hold regular reviews with the Regional Manager to measure revenue performance and sales approach effectiveness in the region or focus area.
  • Cold call and warm call interactions.
  • Take a self‑driven and proactive approach to seeking and developing new accounts, ensuring a continuous pipeline of opportunities.
  • Always ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by understanding client needs, addressing concerns, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Leverage a strong and proven sales background to effectively manage and grow existing accounts, including time spent on construction projects for product demonstration solutions that enhance productivity and/or improve safety performance and best practice.
  • Ensure you are following Health and Safety practices both on our sites and on our customer sites.
  • Provide holiday and/or sickness cover on the Hire Desk as and when required.

  • Experience in equipment rental, construction or similar industries.
  • Hands‑on and willing to get stuck in with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Driven, self‑sufficient, proactive and motivated.

  • Strong telesales skills for lead generation and relationship building.
