Are you passionate about safety and training? Join our team as a Utilities Safety Trainer , working with the Director of Training and reporting to the Compliance & Training Manager . In this role, you’ll deliver specialist safety training leading to accredited Energy & Utilities Skills (EUSR) qualifications. From Electro & Butt Fusion Welding and Pressure Testing to SHEA Passport Schemes and Safe Digging , you’ll play a vital role in upskilling delegates and exceeding client expectations for outstanding delivery.
Training sessions will be delivered at our specialist training centre in Nottinghamshire , across our national satellite locations , or on-site at customer premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training courses to meet client and employee requirements on time
- Ensure courses meet minimum quality standards and align with awarding bodies
- Consistently assess and measure delegate performance
- Assist in the development of new courses that meet industry standards.
- Stay informed on statutory policies, health & safety, and awarding body requirements
- Identify and support improvements to courses
- Manage online booking software and maintain accurate records
- Issue accreditation certificates and ensure efficient logistics for training sessions
- Prioritise group and personal health & safety at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Is detail-oriented, especially in administrative tasks
- Holds a recognised training qualification .(optional)
- Has knowledge and experience in the Utilities sector
- Communicates effectively and delivers engaging presentations
- Is happy to deliver practical training outdoors in all weathers
- Has experience creating or contributing to training materials
- Holds GCSEs (grade C or National 4 and above) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Has experience with fusion welding techniques, pressure testing , or other specialist utilities courses (e.g., SHEA Passport Schemes)
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence
