In this exciting new field-based role you’ll be using your experience of performing hydrostatic pressure tests to represent our Stopper Specialists brand on customer sites in the Midlands region, performing a pressure testing service on customer or third party assets using Stopper Specialists’ maintained equipment.
The individual will be tasked with safely and expertly carrying out pressure testing activities and completing relevant RAMS documents as needed for specific assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate testing equipment including flanges, joint sets/gaskets, manifolds, pumps and data loggers.
- Complete hydrostatic pressure test procedures on ductile iron and polyethylene pipework in accordance with IGN 4-01-03 and/or customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve possible issues affecting pressure test success on site.
- Maintain test equipment using established service procedures to ensure equipment quality and accuracy.
- Use dedicated software/portal to input key hazard and risk mitigation measures that will create informed RAMS documents for each pressure test assignment.
- Liaise with site agents, managers, stakeholders of customer organisations to manage timescale expectations and communicate pressure test successes and/or failures with clear feedback.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driving licence
- Experience performing hydrostatic pressure tests in live industrial/construction site environments.
- Capable of using high precision measuring equipment such as data loggers and flow meters.
- Strong knowledge and awareness of site safety procedures, safe systems of work, hazard identification and incident prevention.
- Experience and appreciation of compiling RAMS documentation relating to hydrostatic pressure testing.
- Strong communication skills when providing feedback to relevant stakeholders on pressure testing assignments.

- EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
- EUSR SHEA Water
- CSCS Card
- Knowledge of flow control equipment and drainage integrity tests (air)
