Salary Info
- Starting Salary – £30,600 (realistic OTE: £37,000)
- After Probation (26 weeks) – £32,000 (realistic OTE: £38,500)
- After 2 Years – £34,000 (realistic OTE: £40,500)
About the Role
As a Driver\’s Mate for TPA, you will work closely with the driver as part of a two-man team, delivering, installing and collecting portable roadways in a variety of different settings across the UK.
As part of the role, we provide full training and a clear pathway to becoming a Class 1 Driver on our state-of-the-art vehicles.

We are not looking for temporary workers, full time permanent commitment is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Must enjoy being on the road and working outside in all weathers
- Use the lorry loader crane to install and recover our unique range of temporary roadway products
- Provide our customers with appropriate familiarisation of equipment
- Carry out weekly vehicle, trailer & crane cleaning procedure
- Map read and plan routes in discussion with the Driver
- Ensure that paperwork is accurately completed
- Identify and record all damaged stock correctly with the driver
- Carry out a weekly vehicle stock-check
- Ensure health & safety for you and others in the working area
In addition to the above
- Must be comfortable spending time away from home, Monday to Friday
- Weekend overtime available

- No experience or qualifications are required other than a full UK Driving Licence, as we provide all necessary training

- TPA work on many sensitive sites in the defence, nuclear and civil service sectors and operate a rigorous drugs and alcohol testing policy. Applicants will also be DBS checked.
