We are looking for a confident and organised team player to join our busy team as a Hire Controller. This is a fast-paced, office-based role where you will play a key part in delivering great service to our construction industry customers. You will be responsible for processing hire requests, coordinating with our depots and transport team, and ensuring equipment is delivered on time and to specification. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in getting the details right.

Due to the location of our office and the requirement for an 8:00 AM start, candidates should ideally be based in or around the Morley area. Public transport options are limited, so access to a car and a full driving licence would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to incoming telephone calls and emails from customers, providing prompt and professional service.
  • Processing on-hire and off-hire requests using our dedicated hire management system with a high level of accuracy.
  • Preparing and issuing hire quotations based on customer requirements.
  • Coordinating with operational depots and the transport team to arrange equipment deliveries, collections, and exchanges.
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer activity, hire information, and system data.
  • Assisting with checking product availability and supporting depot stock control processes.
  • Helping to resolve any service issues or queries efficiently and escalating when required.

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy – MS Office/Outlook skills.
  • Knowledge of G42 or other similar hire rental asset management systems advantageous.
  • Knowledge of hire industry/construction advantageous.
