An excellent opportunity has come up within our Torrent Trackside business for a Mobile Fitter to cover the Bedfordshire area. This opportunity would suit a small plant fitter or mechanic who has experience in small plant maintenance, electrical systems, battery powered tools and agricultural or construction industry plant. You will manage your own workload and have flexible working hours which will be dependent on the needs of the day. Overtime opportunities are available on an ad hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, service, repair of company and customer assets at customer premises.
- Work on your own and as part of a team at customer premises ensuring that the equipment is maintained to manufacturer specifications at all times.
- Complete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all times.
- Ensure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Fitter or Mechanic
- Experience of mechanical and basic electrical fault finding
- Working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of small plant engines such as petrol 2 stroke, 4 stroke and diesels
- IT literate with experience of using an electronic device to assist with things like stock management etc.
- Full UK Driving license
- Able to plan own workload and manage time effectively
The successful candidate will be expected to pass a Drug and Alcohol Railway standard medical and undergo PTS safety qualification training. All of this will be arranged for you.
