About the Role
Grow revenue and profit by focusing on Safety propositions to meet our customers' requirements and applications. This will be achieved by providing commercial leadership, technical insight and market knowledge to influence our activities in key sectors. You will take a lead role in delivering a growth strategy which will build upon the excellent reputation and existing business activities within the UK markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute as part of a team to achieving annual revenue targets and profit margins.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a business plan for market penetration and growth, providing fully integrated and innovative Safety solutions to all UK markets including construction, infrastructure and energy.
- Focused on developing existing customers and targeting new customers, including building relationships with key decision makers and technical influencers within these customers.
- Work with the business sales resources (RAMs, NKAMs, VpRS etc.) to help develop all accounts.
- Deliver excellent customer service focused on total solutions, which concentrate on an innovative approach and delivering cost effective results for the customer whilst exceeding their expectations.
- Ensure effective use and management of our CRM system for the division, to facilitate customer analysis and proactive marketing.
- Ability to demonstrate a range of products at customers' locations, carried out in accordance with their established safety practices, rules and regulations.
- Develop a strong understanding and relationship with the key stakeholders within ESS and the wider Vp plc group to increase efficiency and provide a seamless interaction with our customers.
- Monitoring of financial and non-financial objectives to enhance business performance.

- Exceptional sales experience and safety product knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience of working in a technical or commercial BDM position within a business providing products and services to relevant industries.
- Experience of creating and contributing to innovative complex tender winning submissions.
- Energy and drive able to change pace quickly.
- Able to travel freely / valid driving licence.
- Competent IT skills.
- Confident in communicating to people of all levels of the business.
