Hire Controllers are the face of our branches as you’ll be the first people our customers see when they walk through the doors. You’ll support the branch in all areas of hire, sales and customer service. As such you will be there to help customers in any way possible from processing customer orders over the phone to helping out in the branch and on occasion helping with deliveries and collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for customers over the counter & on the telephone
- Maximise hire and sales revenue
- Cover deliveries and collections when essential to business demands
- Ensure vehicle are always loaded safely and in line with company procedures
- Responsible for appropriate branch presentation
- Carry out daily compliance and H&S checks, as directed
- Assist and attend stock takes as required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Commercial mind-set and aware of importance of service delivery
- Effective communicator with ability to influence and empathise
- Good attention to detail and IT skills
- Knowledge of local area
- Valid driving licence
- Knowledge of hire industry desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of equipment desirable not essential
